This 5" diameter x 3/8" thick soft interface pad is used when you are dry sanding with fine grit abrasive discs - not designed for wet sanding applications. Place interface pads between your hook and loop back up pad and the sanding disc. Interface pads not only provide extra "cushioning" on your back up pad, but also help extend the life of your back up pad. Use with any vacuum hole pattern discs. 1 pad per box.

@ Michael--We're so sorry you had trouble with this interface pad! We should have mentioned on the website that our interface pads are not made for wet sanding applications. We'll make adjustments to the description so this doesn't happen again to anyone and send you out a new interface pad at no charge so you can use it for a different, dry sanding job. Not happy with this product. After only a few hours of use the hook & loop layer is separating from the foam.
Not sure if there is a product like this that would stand up to wet sanding process better.
